Occationally we get email for various request such as for tickets and requests for scouts to visit a high schooler just to name two. But this request hits closer to home. This involes a fellow american who is Hokie at heart who is going to be deployed to Iraq and wishes someone to help him just watch a Hokie game.
We are posting his letter on our blog hoping that someone has the knowledge and resources to help Captain Sigler from Hampton.
My name is Jason Sigler. I am from Hampton VA. Growing up I started going to VT football games with a man from my local church, Howard Thomas class of ’73. I was 14 when he began to take me to the games in Blacksburg. I later married his daughter Brooke and have continued to attend games every year except for the two seasons I have been deployed over seas. I am a graduate of the United States Military Academy, but a Hokie at heart. I love going to Blacksburg, Mike’s, and the football games.
I am a CPT in the Army, deployed to Baghdad Iraq. The facilities here are much nicer than they were in 2003, when I was here with the 3ID, but we have very limited access to television. I was hoping to be able to catch a few of the games on DVD if possible, if you know anyone that could help me out I would appreciate it.
We are very excited about the changes here at VT-Football.com. We wanted to give our site a facelift prior to the start of the new football season. We do still have some old content from our old site so over the next comming weeks we will be adding more of our old content and adding new content to our site. One of the reasons why we performed a re-design of our site we thought that it lacked the polished look that it deserved. At this time we feel that we have made many visual and usability improvements to our site. One of the new additions will be adding in the up and comming weeks is an improved VT Football Forum.
We are also looking for other Hokie Fan web sites at this time. We would like to add your resource to our "VT Web Links" section of our site. So please let us know if you have or know of another resource for us to add to our site.
